Disabilities Unit

The 'Disabilities Unit' helps students with disabilities to discuss and pro actively engage in topics and strategies that will ease the passage of disabled students in studying at UEL as well as communicate their policies and dispell any stigma associated disabilities in general. The Unit offers a wide range of forums and support and in conjunction with the Universities Disability Unit endevours to make UEL accessible for all. If you wish to be involved in the disabilities unit, you can contact our Students with Disabilities Officer or pop into our Stratford or Docklands Offices between 9am and 4.45pm, Monday to Friday during term time.

	Scope is a disability organisation in England and Wales whose focus is people with cerebral palsy. Scope's aim is that disabled people achieve equality: a society in which they are as valued, and have the same human and civil rights, as everyone else.

	Access aim to facilitate access for disabled people to education, training, employment and personal development  through services that include quality assessment and support in use of assistive technology and/or specialised learning strategies.
	Artsline is the primary provider of disability access information service to the arts, leisure and entertainment. Its aim is to promote equal access and participation for all disabled people within society.
