The shop supplies a wide range of essentials from drinks and snacks to toiletries, stationery, clothes and convenience foods. Beverley Crawford & Jackie Marshall -

Senior Finance Officers

Behind the scenes but very much the hub of the Union is the much bemoaned finance office. This is located in the Passmore Edwards complex, Stratford Campus but the occupants have been known to venture to the other sites on occasions! ALL your Union's activities are recorded in this office at some point (the filing space has to be huge!) and requests for information are frequent and varied.

The block grant, the trading income and expenditure, the Clubs & Societies budgets, the salaries and wages, the petty cash etc. etc. etc. are all looked after in here. Although we have official opening hours of 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm Mon/Wed/Fri, the office is staffed 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri and we are always happy to answer any query.

Jaqs Bourne -

Student Activities Organiser

Hi,

I'm Jaqs: bit of a hippie, know an infinite amount of useless knowledge, favourite colour blue, just finished reading a really good book about dead bodies (go figure) and on an unending quest to rule the universe, 'cos lets face it, no one else could do it better!

Seriously though, I'm the Students Activities Organiser, which means I'm the one who will be tearing her hair out hiring and firing mini-buses and rooms for all the clubs and societies, and basically keeping a beady eye on all you students who have taken the sensible option of getting involved with something other than your degree while you're here at UEL. I'm friendly and always approachable, and will bend over backwards if it will help you in your mission (but my back's not that strong so I'd prefer if I didn't have to). If you have any ideas about fun things for students to do, maybe you want to set up, um, a naked elephant watching society, then come and see me and we'll see what we can do.

Alex Volkov-

Office Administrator

Hi all,

I am here to manage all Students’ Union receptions. I am assisted in this by inspiring team of the receptionists who are all students themselves.  As a first point of contact within each Students’ Union office we help or to give ideas how to sort those little and sometimes big problems every students got on the top of their study. Therefore, we know, understand and happy to help students (… as long as they don’t shout at us). Docklands and Stratford receptions offer you various services such as colour and standard photocopying, faxing, tickets for the balls and other events, NUS cards etc etc etc. So see you around this academic year and wishing you to get from this university what you expected making your university life a great experience.
