You are automatically a member of the University of East London Students' Union (unless you opt out at the point of enrolment) which allows you basic access to UELSU facilities and services. So additional services (ie Clubs and Socities or certain events) may require you to pay a fee in order to cover the cost of running or insuring yourself whilst participating in these activities or to host or run an particular event.
